Since 1983, MacPhee Pontiac Buick GMC has grown to be the largest Pontiac dealership in Atlantic Canada and one of the top-ten GM dealerships in the country. MacPhee Pontiac is committed to providing the best customer service and is proud to have received GM’s Triple Crown Award for 19 times – having won the last twelve years in succession.
MacPhee’s has also won The GMC Circle of Excellence Trophy in 1990. This one-time-only trophy was awarded to the dealership with the best overall record in personnel development, new vehicle sales, parts and accessory sales, implementation of the GM Protection Plan, customer satisfaction, commitment to excellence, fewest number of return repairs and personnel training.
Prior to 2002 MacPhee Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. was chosen as one of General Motors of Canada’s Top Ten Dealers on six separate occasions. In 2002 this award became The Jack Smith Leadership Award and was present to MacPhee Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. the following year. Since then the dealership has won The Jack Smith Leadership Award three times again, in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Based on our Customer Satisfaction Index, MacPhee Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. has held the #1 position in the Atlantic Zone, in sales, since February 2004. Our Service Department has had a top fifteen CSI position since May, 2006. MacPhee Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. takes great pride in the fact that we have a repeat and referral rate of 70%.
Al MacPhee takes great pride in having been invited to join the Board of Governors of the Cape Breton University located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, currently serving his second three-year term.
Al MacPhee is a very active participant in community based organizations. He is a past board member of the Dartmouth General Hospital and continues to support the Hospital’s activities. Al was Chairman of Alderney Landing’s $1.6 million Capital Campaign, a two year campaign for a cultural convention centre with a fully working theatre, art gallery and farmers market located on the Dartmouth waterfront.
In March of 2009, Al MacPhee was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia Business Hall of Fame. Established by its volunteer Board of Directors, the Hall of Fame promotes the activities of Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia, while celebrating the achievements of Nova Scotia business leaders.
